1. Call-out fee

• £85 for visits Monday to Saturday.
• £120 for evening, Sunday and bank holiday visits.

The call-out fee pays for the engineer's travel and time and a full diagnostic check of your appliance. It is charged for the visit and the diagnosis, not for the outcome of the repair.

The call-out fee is non-refundable, including where:

• you decide not to go ahead with the repair;
• the appliance cannot be repaired;
• the spare parts needed are no longer available;
• the appliance is too old or too damaged to be repaired;
• you change your mind once the engineer has been sent or has arrived.

2. Spare parts and return visits

If a spare part is needed, you pay for the part only. We do not charge for labour and no VAT is added.

If the part is in our stock, we will arrange a visit the next day to fit it. Parts that have to be ordered usually arrive within 2 to 5 working days, depending on the supplier.

Any return visit needed to fit a part we have collected or ordered is free of charge.

3. Access to the appliance

You must give our engineer safe and clear access to the appliance. In particular:

• the appliance must not be built in or blocked in a way that prevents it being moved safely;
• the working area must be safe;
• the water and electricity supplies must be accessible.

If the engineer cannot safely reach the appliance, or cannot get into the property because nobody is there to let them in, the call-out fee is still payable.

4. Payment

You pay the engineer on the day of the visit, by:

• card (all major cards except American Express);
• payment link, useful for landlords and people paying remotely;
• bank transfer.

We will give you payment details when you book or during the visit.

5. Information about your appliance

Please give us accurate information about your appliance, including the model number and a description of the fault. Incorrect information can delay the repair or the ordering of parts.

6. Appliances that cannot be repaired

Some appliances cannot be repaired because of age, rust, leaks, electrical faults or discontinued parts. In these cases the call-out fee is still payable.

We are not responsible for later failures caused by the age of the appliance or by damage that existed before our visit.

7. Safety

Our engineer may refuse to work on an appliance that is unsafe, for example because of exposed wiring, a gas or water leak, or a dangerous installation. The call-out fee is still payable.

8. Our liability

QUICKREPAIR APPLIANCES LTD (company no. 17416767) is not responsible for:

• indirect or consequential loss;
• food lost because a fridge or freezer has failed;
• water damage caused by leaks that existed before our visit;
• any loss caused by the appliance failing before or after our visit.

Our responsibility is limited to the work carried out by our engineer. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer, or our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.

9. Warranty

Spare parts we fit are covered by the manufacturer's warranty.

The call-out fee is not covered by any warranty. There is no separate labour warranty, as we do not charge for labour.

10. Your right to cancel

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 you can cancel a booking made by phone, WhatsApp or email within 14 days, free of charge, as long as the visit has not taken place.

If you ask us to visit within those 14 days, you agree that the service starts straight away. If you cancel after the engineer has been sent, the call-out fee is payable for the visit and diagnosis already provided.

11. Acceptance and contact

By booking a visit you confirm that you have read and accept these terms.
